SSP has expanded its travel retail alliance with Starbucks with the debut of its airside store at Edinburgh Airport, Scotland.

Located in the departures area, the store has a seating capacity of 75 and provides takeaway service for passengers.

It comprises low-level seating and serving areas, offering passengers unobstructed views of flight information boards and boarding gates.

Passengers can access the brand’s summer menu 2024, which includes beverages such as Crème Brulée x Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso and the Dragon Coconut Starbucks Refresha Drink.

The store will also reintroduce the popular Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresha Drink.

The store offers a variety of dairy alternative options at no extra charge.

Starbucks UK senior business manager Matt Ebner said: “We are excited to open our new store in Edinburgh Airport and look forward to welcoming staff and passengers from all around the world. To celebrate the opening, we will be hosting an event for airport staff.”

The new Starbucks store will operate from 04:00 to 22:00 daily, with plans to extend its hours to 24/7 during the peak summer travel season from July to October.

The Edinburgh Airport venue follows the recent transformations of other SSP-operated Starbucks airport locations at Leeds Bradford and Birmingham.

SSP UK and Ireland business development director Cathy Granby stated: “Opening this new Starbucks store at Edinburgh Airport provides passengers with an elevated pre-departure experience from a leading brand.

“We have enjoyed great success with Starbucks at UK travel hubs and I’m confident that we’ll do the same here in Edinburgh.”
