Back-of-house tech provider for restaurants Fourth has launched an AI-powered offering to streamline operations for multi-location owners, operators and managers.

The Restaurant Operations Suite integrates workforce management, HR, payroll and macromatiX [labour, food costs and reporting] inventory management into a unified platform, offering real-time insights and recommendations to enhance profitability at each location.

By leveraging AI, the suite provides managers with actionable insights, helping them make informed decisions that can lead to a 3% to 5% increase in profit, a 5% reduction in labour costs and a 20% reduction in the cost of goods sold, based on averages from Fourth’s customer base.

Fourth CEO Clinton Anderson stated: “Restaurant managers are at the centre of everything — but they’re stretched thin, constantly shifting between a variety of manual tasks like scheduling, payroll and making inventory decisions.

“The Restaurant Operations Suite enables managers, area coaches and operations managers to spend less time on manual work and instead focus on leading their teams and delivering a better customer experience at each location.”

The suite introduces new capabilities to improve manager productivity and reduce operational complexity.

Real-time dashboards provide immediate visibility into operational key performance indicators, enabling proactive management of in-store actions.

Digital tip payouts offer a streamlined approach to tip distribution, saving managers time and enhancing employee satisfaction.

The forecast manager provides a consolidated view of forecasted demand, facilitating improved labour and inventory planning.

The AI demand forecasting engine helps managers adjust staffing and inventory levels in response to real-time demand patterns. This advanced forecasting capability has led to a more than 20% increase in accuracy for Fourth’s customers.

Its customer base includes Chili’s, Whataburger, Dunkin’, Pizza Hut and Texas Roadhouse.
