
The Hazel Tree pub in Corby, Northamptonshire, and The Leaping Salmon in Northumberland have reopened following six-figure investments in refurbishments by the Stonegate Group.
The Hazel Tree has introduced a professional-standard darts area, a pool table and a revamped audio-visual system.
The Leaping Salmon has also carried out a complete redecoration, improved audio-visual aspects and added an 86-inch HD TV.
Refurbishment of the Hazel Tree extends to the exterior, with new furniture, fencing and festoon lighting.
The pub has also upgraded its live sports viewing capabilities with new Sky Q boxes, allowing multiple sports broadcasts by Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports and Premier Sports, plus sport on Prime on HD TVs.
Its beverage selection has been expanded to include a wide range of no and low-alcohol options.

By GlobalDataHazel Tree operators Gareth and Kirsty McBlain stated: “The refurbishment has enhanced our position as the best place to watch sports in the area, while our strong events schedule consistently provides our guests with reasons to visit our pub and enjoy one of our great-value beverages.
“The investment has allowed us to create a space that is more inviting and enjoyable for everyone.”
The Leaping Salmon has also seen improvements both inside and out, with a fresh coat of paint and a new terrace.
The pub’s interior now features new furniture, additional booth seating and a bar games area. The investment also had a positive impact on the local economy, creating ten new jobs.
The Leaping Salmon’s new menu will reintroduce old favourites and food-themed nights such as Nice N Spicy Thursdays and Fish Up Fridays.
The pub offers competitive pricing and exclusive deals through the MiXR app, which includes a free drink for new sign-ups.
Leaping Salmon general manager Amanda Robertson stated: “This renovation is marking the start of a new chapter for us at the Leaping Salmon, and I can’t wait to be welcoming back guests, both old and new, to see all that we’ve been working on behind the scenes.”
