American quick service restaurant chain Wendy’s has expanded its menu with the launch of a harvest chicken salad available across its locations this autumn.
The harvest chicken salad is a blend of brown sugar walnuts, Apple Cider Vinaigrette by Marzetti Simply Dressed, romaine, iceberg and spring mix lettuce, feta cheese, Applewood smoked bacon and red and green apples.
Wendy’s executive vice president Kurt Kane said: “The first time I tried our new harvest chicken salad, it was so good that I immediately wanted everyone else to try it too.
“That’s why we’re offering a deal in our mobile app to get a free half-size harvest chicken salad with purchase. Crisp apples, brown sugar walnuts, bacon and apple cider vinaigrette have never tasted so delicious.”
The salad is offered in two full size and half size variants. The full size variant is available for $6.79 and contains 570 calories, while the half size entrée is available for $4.79 containing 320 calories.
The fast casual company has also launched a promotion to offer a half-size harvest chicken salad for free to customers who purchase any item from the Wendy’s menu until 22 September.
