
Foodservice and facilities management company Sodexo has reported a 6.8% increase in revenues, totalling €5.7bn for the first quarter of 2019.
According to the company, net acquisitions contributed 4.8% to growth and organic growth increase by 2.6%.
Sodexo has also reported a 2.3% increase for on-site services, reflecting a 2.5% growth in the business an administrations segment, as well as 1.9% growth in healthcare and seniors segments.
Sodexo CEO Denis Machuel said: “First quarter revenue growth is in the middle of the range of our guidance. It reflects a good performance relative to fiscal 2018 but as expected, does not match the growth in the prior quarter, which was boosted by seasonal factors.
“While new signatures in healthcare and seniors in North America are good, we remain prudent on the recovery in this segment.
“We are vigorously implementing our action plans. As we generate productivity, we are reinvesting in sales, marketing, digital and innovation. We maintain our objectives for the year as a whole.”

Sodexo also announced that it has appointed Sodexo Home Care Worldwide CEO Sarosh Mistry as the company’s North America region chair, who will assume his role starting 1 March 2019.
Mistry will replace current region chair Lorna Donatone. He also joined the group executive committee effective immediately.
