The company will offer on-demand delivery to its customers across seven Bay Area markets including Atherton, Belmont, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Carlos, and Woodside.
Additionally, customers in 13 key suburban markets including Atherton, Belmont, Burlingame, Foster City, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, Sunnyvale, and Woodside can opt to choose pickup service.
DoorDash New Business Verticals head Fuad Hannon said: “We are constantly working on innovations that help merchants find new, meaningful ways to reach customers and run their businesses more efficiently.

By GlobalData“We launched DoorDash over six years ago in the Peninsula, and can’t wait to bring even more selection to the local community we know and admire.”
Merchants can use the new kitchen concept to gain new customers in neighbouring communities. This will remove the need to open additional store locations.
The concept also offers infrastructure, maintenance, marketing, and last-mile logistics services to restaurateurs enabling them to focus on creating new menu offerings and pairings.
As part of the launch, the delivery firm is also offering free delivery service through the end of 2019 to customers who order from restaurants registered with the new concept.
Furthermore, DoorDash is planning to work closely with each merchant to co-design the DoorDash Kitchens’ space to allow restaurants to customise the environment to their needs.
The delivery firm expects to expand its team up to 50 full or part-time employees in Redwood City.
Last month, dining restaurants operator Bloomin’ Brands selected DoorDash to support its in-house delivery platform.
