The hotpot features several dishes, including snowflake beef short ribs, tiger prawns and pork belly.

New York-based digital agency Caymana Consulting helped Zhang develop Raosu’s branding and marketing for its launch.

Zhang said: “Caymana was integral in developing the brand, from social media campaigns to helping with the interior decor and even aspects of the menu!”

She added that with Raosu, she aims to achieve “an exciting fusion of flavours and cultures, where every guest can partake in a culinary journey that transports them from the bustling streets of New York to the vibrant culinary landscapes of China and Japan”.

Zhang has also developed other establishments in New York City such as the Chinese banquet restaurant Royal Queen in Flushing.
