McDonald’s has made a big change to its menu by launching a £185 ($235.16) wedding package in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to the news agency, the fast food giant’s catering package includes 100 chicken burgers and 100 boxes of McNuggets or 100 cheeseburgers and 100 chicken fingers.

With this new menu package, the restaurant company aims to help the newlyweds to celebrate their big day.

If successful, the package could be expanded globally.

The news agency quoted McDonald’s Indonesia official Rizki Haryadi as saying: “There are other service options as well, where we can also provide food stalls at an additional cost.

“The wedding package is not for holding a wedding at a McD store, but only for food such as catering with prices starting from £185 with a minimum purchase of 200 products.”

In June this year, McDonald’s Indonesia announced the relaunch of “Taste of Japan”, which comprises a wide range of menu items with a blend of Japanese flavours.

The relaunch event was held at McDonald’s Salemba Raya, Central Jakarta. The restaurant company first launched “Taste of Japan” in 2020.

McDonald’s Indonesia marketing associate director Caroline Kurniadjaja said: “We are very pleased to see the high demand and enthusiasm of the Indonesian people for the Taste of Japan menu when it was first launched in 2020 and 2021.

“That’s the main reason we’re relaunching this menu. Through ‘Taste of Japan’, we are bringing back the experience of authentic Japanese culinary tastes to satisfy fans of Japanese culture and traditions in Indonesia.”
