Brazil-based restaurant brand Fogo de Chão is set to expand its US footprint with the signing of a lease agreement to open its new venue in North Irving, Texas.

Located on the corner of Ranch Trail and LBJ Freeway at Cypress Waters, the new restaurant in North Irving is scheduled to open later this year.

Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan said: “Since opening our first US restaurant in Addison 26 years ago, the Dallas community has warmly welcomed our brand and our authentic dining experience.

“Our founders expanding the brand from Brazil to Dallas in 1997 was no small feat and our success in the US has laid the foundation for our global growth ever since.

“We’re excited to continue our expansion in the DFW area with a new location in North Irving and aim to give our guests the same experience of discovery that they have come to know us for in a new, elevated setting.”

The 9,700ft² restaurant is the fourth Fogo location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will join the other restaurants in Addison, Uptown and Plano.

Its menu offerings include weekday lunch, weekend Brazilian brunch, Bar Fogo, group dining and private dining spaces.

The new location also offers to-go and butcher shop options, as well as full-service catering, which includes on-site cooking with portable churrasco grills and gauchos.

The opening of the new location in North Irving is part of the company’s plan to achieve a 15% annual restaurant growth across the US.

Last month, Fogo de Chão announced plans to open a new restaurant in New York City.

The new location is scheduled to open later this year at City Point, a mixed-use entertainment, shopping and dining destination in downtown Brooklyn.
