Starbucks Thailand is reportedly planning to open 335 new stores in the country by the end of 2023, according to a report by Bangkok Post.
Initially, the coffeehouse chain aims to increase its store count from 465 to 480 by the end of this year.
Starbucks Thailand managing director Nednapa Srisamai explained that the move will bring the store count to 800 by 2030.
The company’s new eight-year business plan will see the opening of Starbucks stores featuring the Reserve and Drive-Through formats.
Srisamai was quoted by the news publication as saying: “The opening of Community stores speaks to our brand promise to move towards a more sustainable future, as we continue to focus on the well-being of our coffee farming communities in the northern part of Thailand.
“The company has adapted to the challenges posed by Covid-19, opening more drive-thru stores, which will remain an important focus this year even as Covid infections recede.”
