US-based fast food chain SONIC Drive-In has expanded its menu offerings with the addition of its Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites.

The restaurant brand stated that its Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites combine chicken and buffalo sauce with cheddar cheese inside and a wonton-style fried exterior.

SONIC culinary and menu innovation vice-president Mackenzie Gibson said: “From tailgates to family celebrations, Buffalo chicken dip is always a craveable favourite.

“In developing the new Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites, our culinary innovation team took that same mouth-watering flavour and packed it into a golden-brown crispy wrapper for an unforgettable snacking experience that can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime.”

Available in packs of five and seven, Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites will be rolled out across participating drive-ins across the US for a limited time.

The restaurant brand has also announced the launch of its small Classic Shakes throughout August.

SONIC’s hand-mixed shakes will be available in various flavours, including chocolate, Reese’s peanut butter, banana or strawberry, finished with whipped topping and a cherry.

In June this year, SONIC Drive-In announced that it would be introducing two new Aloha Slushes with island-inspired flavours.

The new flavours are Polynesian Punch and Tropical Colada and will be rolled out across all SONIC locations.

Polynesian Punch Slush is a Hawaiian-inspired fruit punch while the Tropical Colada Slush is a blend of coconut, pineapple and banana flavours swirled into an icy Slush.
