Nigeria-based fast food chain and franchise Chicken Republic has expanded its partnership with the online food delivery company Glovo.
According to a Business Day report, this partnership aims to enhance Chicken Republic’s customer experience, from the point of order to the point of delivery.
Chicken Republic is owned by the quick service restaurant (QSR) company Food Concepts.
The news agency quoted Food Concepts CEO Kofi Abunu: “It is important to partner with brands like Glovo that share in our vision to deliver excellent customer experiences. We believe Glovo will boost our deliveries and positively impact our business.”
Alongside Chicken Republic, Food Concepts also owns brands such as PieXpress, Butterfield, Yum Yum and The Chop Box.
The partnership with Chicken Republic is also expected to help Glovo strengthen its presence in the region.

Glovo Nigeria general manager Lamide Akinola was quoted by the news agency as saying: “Since our initial collaboration with Chicken Republic in May 2022, we have demonstrated the ability to provide a fast and superior service for their customers.
“Thus, we are very proud that Chicken Republic, the leading QSR in Nigeria, has recognised our expertise and chosen us.”
The two companies are also reportedly planning to extend their collaboration to Ghana and other African markets.
