Cheese was found to be the most-used ingredient in FSR establishments, featuring in 11% of menu items, followed by herbs, spices & seasonings and fish & seafood. Vegetables and chicken were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that pasta & pizza, curry, meat dishes, alcoholic drinks and soft drinks were most popular within the FSR format.
An analysis of the annual price change between 2023 and H1 2024 indicates that the average menu prices in Switzerland FSR channel have risen by 0.06%. Considering all channels (including FSR) the average price change was 0.11%.
