Pork was found to be the most-used ingredient in Chinese cuisine featuring in 12% of menu items, followed by fish & seafood and chicken. Soup and rice were also significant ingredients.
An analysis of the annual price change between 2023 and H1 2024 indicates that the average menu prices in the Chinese cuisine have risen by 0.35%. As on-premises dining gains momentum following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese cuisine in Taiwan is expected to experience overall growth.
Different cuisines exhibited mixed price movements within Taiwan foodservice market between 2023 and H1 2024. Of all the cuisines, South Korean cuisine exhibited highest price increase, while American cuisine experienced a maximum price decrease.
