American ice cream chain Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard has announced a collaboration with cookie brand Oreo to enhance its cold brew frozen coffee line in the US.

The partnership introduces two new offerings: Cold Brew Frozen Coffee made with Oreo cookies and Rita’s Cookies n’ Cream Concrete.

The two offerings will be available for a limited time from 15 April 2024 at all Rita’s locations.

The addition of Frozen Coffee made with Oreo to Rita’s menu marks an expansion of its existing coffee range, which already includes Original, Mocha and Caramel flavours.

The new beverage combines Rita’s vanilla ice, custard, cold brew coffee and Oreo cookies topped with whipped cream.

The Cookies n’ Cream Concrete features Rita’s creamy vanilla Frozen Custard swirled with pieces of Oreo cookie.

Rita’s Ice app users will receive a $3 Small Frozen Coffee made with Oreo reward in their app account, allowing them to enjoy the new flavour at a discounted price between 15 and 28 April 2024.

Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard senior director for brand marketing Madalyn Weintraub said: “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Oreo, an iconic brand loved by millions, to bring this exciting menu innovation to Rita’s guests.

Last month, the ice cream chain signed a multi-unit agreement to open new locations in Austin, Texas.

The expansion, led by entrepreneur Salvator Raccuglia from Redding, Pennsylvania, will see the first of five new Rita’s locations in 2024 serving specialities including Gelato, Italian Ice, Concretes, Milkshakes and Frozen Custard.
