Tacotarian, a plant-based Mexican eatery located in Las Vegas and San Diego, has expanded its offerings with a new line of shelf-stable, plant-based taco fillings in the US.
The company, known for its vegan Mexican cuisine, said it is responding to the increasing consumer demand for plant-based options that are both convenient and authentic in taste.
The initial products to hit the shelves will be jackfruit barbacoa and jackfruit Birria made with Beyond.
Tacotarian added that the fillings are designed to be high in protein, non-GMO, and maintain the authentic flavours that its restaurants offer.
The move is a response to the growing consumer interest in healthier and more sustainable food choices.
Tacotarian’s retail line claims to offer consumers, with the ability to quickly prepare the taco fillings in a skillet or air fryer and add personal touches with various toppings.
