Voice AI technology platform ConverseNow has announced the acquisition of Valyant AI, a specialist in restaurant drive-through automation technology.
The move is set to accelerate ConverseNow’s expansion in the drive-through sector. Financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
The move aligns with the companies’ shared goal of transforming the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry through innovative AI solutions.
Established in 2018, Valyant AI deploys true voice AI in drive-through settings, with clients such as CKE and Checkers.
Valyant’s AI-powered voice assistant, Holly, integrates with existing drive-through communication systems, including points of sale (POS) and hospitality messaging environments, enhancing customer interaction and operational efficiency.
The acquisition results in Valyant AI’s team and technology becoming part of ConverseNow, further solidifying its position in the AI voice-ordering assistant market for QSRs.

By GlobalDataThe merger will enable the provision of a unified offering that combines expertise, shared data and technological infrastructure.
ConverseNow co-founder chief operating officer/chief project officer Rahul Aggarwal stated: “Valyant’s patented technology and proprietary hardware, combined with seamless POS integration, perfectly complement ConverseNow’s modern AI stack.”
ConverseNow’s AI virtual ordering assistants are designed to mimic human conversation and are capable of understanding customer sentiment and guiding interactions.
They can detect subtle cues, anticipate ordering patterns and suggest upsells based on real-time contextual data, thereby increasing revenue potential.
The cloud-based, multilingual solution personalises orders across high-volume voice channels, including phone, drive-through, self-service kiosks and mobile device voice-assisted chat.
With the addition of Valyant AI, ConverseNow also gains new technology such as the AI Employee Assist product, a voice-driven AI training tool that provides instant, hands-free answers to staff queries.
This solution, which has been successfully piloted by Valyant AI, is set to be integrated into drive-through systems and available on tables, with a rollout expected by the end of the third quarter of 2024.
Both ConverseNow and Valyant AI will continue to operate under their existing brands, offering customers the benefits of combined resources and expertise.
Valyant AI CEO Michael Silverman said: “Our ready-to-deploy infrastructure and ConverseNow conversational and emotional intelligence give us an unrivalled ability to deliver true, accurate and ethical AI solutions to our customers.”
