US-based restaurant chain Killer Burger has confirmed a second multi-unit franchise agreement with Cascade Dining, the group behind Papa Johns’ franchises.
The deal follows a previous six-unit agreement and marks a significant expansion for the better burger concept in the Pacific Northwest.
Franchisee Dave Edwards and his partners, who currently manage 26 Papa Johns Pizza outlets, have expanded their collaboration with Killer Burger by committing to an additional six-unit deal.
The deal will add new locations to the South Puget Sound region, with sites planned for Tacoma, Puyallup and Olympia.
The latest agreement will see Edwards and his team launching a total of 12 Killer Burger outlets across Washington, Oregon and Idaho within the South Puget Sound region up to 2029.
Edwards said: “We were incredibly impressed with the immediate success we saw following our first opening in Salem and are confident in our decision to extend the partnership to another six units.

By GlobalData“Killer Burger is more than a great burger joint with high-quality food – it’s a truly unique experience.
“We were huge fans of the brand prior to partnering with John and the team, and view these agreements as a great opportunity to use our operational excellence to grow the brand and round out our franchising portfolio.”
Cascade Dining has also recently taken ownership of the company-operated Gresham, Oregon location from Killer Burger.
The acquisition was completed in August 2024 and increases Cascade Dining’s total location count to 13.
Killer Burger CEO John Dikos said: “We are excited to extend our partnership with Dave Edwards and his team to open six more Killer Burger units in the coming years.
“Dave and his team’s dedication to operational excellence ensures that we’re providing the ultimate burger experience that we promise each and every customer, and their recommitment to our brand demonstrates the value proposition we are able to offer franchisees.
“As we continue to scale our concept, we remain focused on expanding into new markets and filling out whitespace in the markets we’re currently in with incredible franchisees like Dave.”
In April 2023, Killer Burger announced that it will open its new venue in Salem, Oregon. This was the brand’s 21st location and followed the opening of its location in Eugene, Oregon.
