Family dining restaurant chain Black Bear Diner has announced the opening of a new location in Garden City, Kansas.  

The latest addition to the company’s expanding portfolio is the second dining location in the state. It signifies the brand’s ongoing growth, which included the launch of three diners in Texas in the summer of 2024. 

The Garden City diner represents the first of five planned locations for new franchise partner, LVP Food Service Concept. The company has already identified future sites in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.  

Situated within TravelCenters of America just off US Hwy 400 at 1265 Solar Avenue, the diner can accommodate up to 150 guests and operates from 6am to 11pm.

Black Bear Diner CEO Anita Adams said: “We’re thrilled to welcome LVP Food Service to the Black Bear Diner family. Their commitment to Black Bear Diner is exciting and we look forward to growing our partnership.”  

LV Petroleum senior vice-president Jeanette L Davis said: “We at LV are excited to open our first Black Bear Diner in Garden City, Kansas. This project has been two years in the works, since purchasing the travel centre in December of 2022.

Black Bear Diner currently operates 161 diners across 13 states. The company has further expansion plans, with an additional diner set to open by the end of 2024 in Harlingen, Texas.
