Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux has entered an agreement with Port Royal Brands to expand its footprint across the Georgia and Tennessee markets in the US.

The deal involves the development of 20 new restaurants, reflecting the first major move since the introduction of Walk-On’s new restaurant format, which includes a reduced footprint, advanced technology, and an improved guest experience. 

The first of the new Walk-On’s establishments under Port Royal is slated to open its doors in 2025.  

Port Royal Brands’ founder and chairman Phil Sanford is recognised for his previous success with The Krystal Company Restaurant Brand, which he expanded to more than 400 restaurants.

Sanford also served as chairman and CEO of Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, where he led a re-capitalisation effort and expanded tax preparation services in Walmart stores nationwide.
