Smoothie King has reached a significant milestone with the opening of its 1,200th domestic store in Texas, US.
The grand opening of the store in Roanoke is celebrated near the company’s headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex.
This event underscores the brand’s ongoing expansion and reinforces its aim to provide nutritious smoothies to a growing number of communities across the nation.
Smoothie King is also expanding rapidly in Chicago, one of its key growth markets.
With ten new stores under development, recent openings include Dekalb on 14 October and Chicago on 4 November.
Crest Hill will welcome a new store on 18 November, with Huntley, Lansing, Oak Lawn, and Homer Glen set for early next year.

Smoothie King chief development officer Chris Bremer said: “Reaching the 1,200th store milestone at this beautiful new location in Roanoke is especially meaningful given our brand’s presence in DFW—including our corporate headquarters and over 80 Smoothie King locations across the metroplex.
“Additionally, our rapid expansion in the Chicago area brings our nutritious, delicious smoothies to even more neighbourhoods to support healthier lifestyles for our guests across the city.”
The Clean Blends initiative by Smoothie King emphasises natural ingredients by excluding over 70 unwanted additives such as artificial flavours and added sugars from many of its products.
The expansion in both Illinois and Texas aligns with Smoothie King’s strategic plan to cater to the growing demand for nutritious meals nationwide.
Last month, Smoothie King launched the new GLP-1 support menu, designed to cater to the dietary needs of customers on GLP-1 agonist medications [a class of medications that help manage blood sugar levels in Type 2 diabetes] for weight loss or management.
