Performance Food Group (PFG), a US-based food and foodservice distribution company, has unveiled its new product, the Beef & Jackfruit Burger, under the FarmSmart brand.  

The offering combines premium beef with jackfruit, supplied by The Jackfruit Company, a plant-based meat alternative brand.  

The new product aims to provide consumers with a delicious meat taste while enhancing nutrition and reducing environmental impact. 

By blending beef with jackfruit, FarmSmart delivers a juicy and flavourful burger with unique nutritional benefits, including 40% less saturated fat and 40% lower cholesterol as compared to a 100% beef burger.  

The product supports the movement towards lower carbon emissions in the food system, allowing chefs to maintain taste without compromise.
