Morecambe pub the Chieftain Hotel has reopened after a six-figure investment in its revamp.
Known for its iconic chieftain figure since the 1830s, the pub remains community-based while introducing new features and enhancements.
The pub underwent extensive renovations after closing in November 2023, including replacing fixed seating with flexible tables and chairs.
A new sports area now features three large HD TVs, a pool table and a dartboard for pub sports enthusiasts.
The outdoor drinking space has been refreshed with new paint and festoon lighting.
The Chieftain Hotel also updated its signage with a new blue scheme.

“The Bay Veterans’ charity means a lot to us all in Morecambe, so we are thrilled to see so much interest and passion in raising as much money as possible for the charity this Saturday.
“The work completed has not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub’s community spirit, which was at the heart of our thoughts during the investment.”
The reopening celebrations include musical performances from local talent and fundraising events.
Activities such as raffles and “brave the shave” events aim to support military veterans in Morecambe.
These efforts are part of Craft Union’s Make it a Million campaign, which has raised more than £700,000 for local causes through its network of 600 pubs nationwide.
