Jollibee Food Corp (JFC) has launched the Singaporean bakery-café chain Tiong Bahru Bakery in the Philippines.
The brand’s inaugural international store is situated at Verve Residences Tower 2 in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The bakery operates from 7am to 10pm, as reported by Marketing Interactive.
Tiong Bahru Bakery serves French-inspired handcrafted pastries and speciality coffee supplied by Singapore’s Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR).
With 21 outlets in Singapore already, the bakery’s international expansion has taken place through a joint venture formed in August 2023 between Jollibee Food Corp and the Singapore-based Food Collective.
Jollibee Group Philippines CEO Joseph Tanbuntiong said: “For years, the Tiong Bahru Bakery has been synonymous with serving the epitome of croissants and an array of delectably unique creations.
“Now, with its arrival in the Philippines, we want the location to be the people’s go-to spot where they can indulge in freshly baked products while soaking in the store’s inviting ambience.”

By GlobalDataThe joint venture’s strategy included the launch of Common Man Coffee Roasters in the Philippines. Its first location opened at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City in January 2024, as reported by World Coffee Portal.
The expansion of Tiong Bahru Bakery aligns with Jollibee Group’s broader growth plans, as evidenced by its recent acquisition of Tim Ho Wan, a Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant based in Hong Kong.
In November 2024, Jollibee Group disclosed its purchase of an additional 8% stake in Tim Ho Wan in a deal valued at $15.3m.
According to a statement filed with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission, the transaction involved the transfer of ownership and management of Tim Ho Wan from Titan Dining LP’s subsidiary to Jollibee Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jollibee Group.
