US-based salad chain Salad and Go will launch its Greens for Everyone seasonal menu with three recipes crafted by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Patino.

The initiative aims to address the concerning statistic that only one in ten adults in the US meets the daily vegetable intake recommended by the country’s Department of Agriculture.

The recipes will be available across all Salad and Go outlets from 12 February 2025.

Salad and Go operates 140 outlets across the states of Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada.

Salad and Go chief marketing officer Nicole Portwood stated: “We’re bucking conventional thinking that greens are only for wealthy health enthusiasts.

“When our guests come to Salad and Go, they are going to get fresh and flavourful at an accessible price point, and our new Greens for Everyone menu is the perfect intersection of craveable flavour and the good stuff that makes us feel great. I’m especially excited for our first-ever juice, which carries an amazing nutrition profile and delicious, refreshing taste, but with no added sugars and at a fraction of the price of fancy juice concepts.”

Salad and Go states that the Greens for Everyone concept extends beyond a slogan, representing the company’s aim of enhancing public health through better dietary choices.

The chain’s latest offerings include the Good Greens Salad, which combines a romaine and spinach base with roasted Brussels sprouts, cucumber, marinated chickpeas, croutons and avocado, dressed with a lemon basil vinaigrette.

The dish can also be consumed as a wrap with chicken. It is priced at under $8.

Its Green Reviver Juice is a nutrient-packed beverage containing apple, fresh ginger, lemon, kale, spinach and parsley, without any added sugar. A 24oz serving is available for $2.75.

The Green Enchilada Chili is a filling meal option, consisting of chicken and cannellini beans in a blend of poblano peppers, jalapeños and green bell peppers, spices and green enchilada sauce. Topped with tortilla strips, a 10oz bowl is priced at under $5.

Chef Daniel Patino said: “The culinary team at Salad and Go is emboldened by the success of 2024’s menu innovations. Our guests showed up in person and on social media raving about everything from our Steak Fajita Wraps to the Summer Caprese Salad to the Fall Beet Goes On Superfood Salad.

“Get ready to see us pushing into new categories and flavours this year while remaining true to our mission to make good food at a good price. It’s always about giving our guests the quality of product that they deserve, at the price they deserve, and that’s what makes for a truly happy meal.”

Following the success of 2024 menu innovations, Patino’s culinary team is preparing to expand beyond its core offerings of salads, wraps and soups.

91% of consumers indicate they are more likely to visit a chain that introduces limited-time offers or new items, and Salad and Go expects this strategy to boost customer visits.

In August 2024, it expanded its menu offerings with four autumn-inspired menu items.
