Coffee Island has formed a partnership with local franchisee start-up Vita Nova to open its first store in HQ27 in Gurgaon, India.

Coffee Island’s menu will feature speciality beverages such as Spanish Bombon, Freddo Espresso Ristretto, Vietnamese Shakerato and single-origin coffees.

The new store will feature its in-house roasting process and a variety of Global Single Estate Beans, Global Blends, and Home Blends.

The chain’s menu in India has been curated in partnership with Sunalini Menon, who is also claimed to be ‘Asia’s First Lady of Coffee’.

Coffee Island CEO Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos said: “We are excited to introduce the Coffee Island brand to India. Coffee Island is planning to open 20 outlets in India by March 2026, focusing on the major metro cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The coffee chain has a longer-term goal of reaching 250 outlets in the country by 2029.

The food menu is designed by chef Arjyo Banerjee and features sandwiches, toasted melts, pasta dishes, and salads.

Signature offerings include Mediterranean Quinoa Bliss Bowl, Peperoncini Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and Roasted Tomato Basil Bocconcini Pide, along with desserts such as Banoffee with Nolen Gur and Rocky Road Muffins.
