South Korean coffee chain The Venti is set to launch internationally with a store in Vancouver, Canada, in March 2025.
Established in 2014 with its inaugural outlet at Pusan National University in Busan, The Venti now has 1,300 stores across South Korea.
The brand, which describes itself as a “value-focused” coffee chain, offers beverages in the price range Won1,500 ($1.04) to Won3,000 – a strategy it plans to replicate in its Canadian venture, as reported by World Coffee Portal.
A local subsidiary, The Venti Vancouver Canada, has been set up to manage its operations. The first outlet will be situated in Richmond’s commercial district, which has a significant Asian demographic.
The menu will feature flavoured coffees, bubble teas, blended iced drinks and popular Korean bakery items such as krungjis and hohohobbangs [a type of warmed steamed buns].
The move aligns with The Venti’s strategy to promote K-coffee in North America and leverage the increasing consumer preference for value during times of economic pressure.

By GlobalDataA spokesperson for The Venti was quoted by World Coffee Portal: “Canada has a pragmatic consumption pattern and prefers cost-effective products, and interest in K-food is also high due to the Korean Wave.”
“Canada also has one of the highest per capita coffee consumptions and British Columbia has a large Asian immigrant population, so The Venti expects to be sufficiently competitive.”
In response to the high cost of living affecting Canadian consumers, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau implemented temporary tax relief on retail purchases from 14 December 2024 until 15 February 2025.
The initiative extends to cafés and restaurants, potentially benefiting establishments such as The Venti.
