Drive-through coffee chain Dutch Bros Coffee has opened its 1,000th US store, located in Orlando, Florida.
Established in 1992, Dutch Bros operates in 18 states, with a strong presence in Oregon, California and Texas.
Dutch Bros is the fourth branded coffee chain to reach 1,000 stores in the country, joining Starbucks, Dunkin’ and Panera Bread, which have 17,000, 9,600 and 2,200 locations respectively.
World Coffee Portal reports that both Starbucks and Dunkin’ have been investing heavily in drive-through facilities, indicating the segment’s potential for growth.
In the long term, Dutch Bros aims to operate 4,000 stores.
In January 2025 it became the latest US coffee chain to drop the non-dairy surcharge, following Starbucks and Gregory’s Coffee.
