International coffeehouse and restaurant chain Tim Hortons has announced the opening of its sixth store in Mumbai, India.
The new outlet is located at the First International Financial Centre in the Bandra Kurla Complex.
The expansion is part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to increase its footprint in the Indian market.
The outlet caters to corporate customers with its range of Arabica coffees, beverages and a variety of food options.
Items such as timbits [small doughnut pieces], doughnuts, sandwiches and wraps will be available at the outlet.
Tim Hortons India CEO Tarun Jain stated: “We are thrilled to open our sixth store in Mumbai. The love and support we have received from our customers have been incredible, and we are excited to continue expanding into more communities.”
Since its Indian debut in August 2022, Tim Hortons has been rapidly growing its presence.
The brand initially launched with two outlets in the National Capital Region (NCR) and has since expanded to several other cities.
Its expansion strategy in India is facilitated through an exclusive master franchise agreement with AG Café, which is a joint venture between retail conglomerate Apparel Group and investment manager Gateway Partners.
Tim Hortons now operates 39 outlets across India, marking its presence in cities such as Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
Its global operations are managed by Restaurant Brands International, which oversees more than 5,100 restaurants in 15 countries. Founded in 1964 by Canadian hockey players Tim Horton and Jim Charade, the Toronto-based chain is best known for its coffee and doughnuts.
