US fast-casual restaurant chain Taco Cabana is adding new shrimp tacos to the menu for the Lent season 2025.
Priced at $3.99, each taco will contain battered shrimp, lettuce, tomato and chipotle ranch, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. It will be available from 5 March 2025 for a limited time.

Taco Cabana president Ulyses Camacho stated: “Lent is here, and we know many of our guests are looking for delicious meat-free options. That’s why we are excited to introduce our new Shrimp Taco – a crispy, golden, flavour-packed way to keep your Fridays (and every day) delicious.
“These tacos feature panko-crusted shrimp, our smoky chipotle ranch, fresh toppings and freshly made tortillas for a bold and satisfying way to enjoy seafood.”
Taco Cabana has recently launched $4.99 meal deals.
Options include the Rise & Grind deal: two breakfast tacos with options of potato and egg, bean and cheese, or chorizo and egg, a hashbrowns and a choice of coffee or a small drink.
The brand offers a breakfast burrito meal deal with chorizo, bacon, hashbrowns, beans, cheese and chipotle ranch, accompanied by a coffee or small drink.
The Crunch & Quench deal features a double crunch pizza with ground beef or shredded chicken with a small drink.
The Seven-Layer Burrito meal deal offers a burrito filled with rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomato and guacamole, wrapped in a flour tortilla and served with a drink.
Spring 2025 also introduces Taco Cabana’s Carne Asada menu: three tacos on street corn tortillas topped with onions and cilantro.
The Carne Asada Taco is garnished with lettuce and tomato on a flour tortilla.
The Carne Asada Cabana Bowl features carne asada over rice, beans, and lettuce, topped with pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream in a crisp shell.
Carne Asada Loaded Fries come with queso, carne asada, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream.
