US-based family-run barbecue chain Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants has expanded its international presence with a new location in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Situated at 2150 Bloor Street W in High Park, West Bloor Village, the restaurant offers the slow-smoked flavours of Texas-style barbecue.

The location, operated by franchisee Muhammad Sameer, offers Dickey’s smoked meats and savoury sides.

Sameer said: It’s an exciting day for us as we open our doors here in Toronto.

“We’re bringing Texas-style barbecue to the heart of the city, and we’re ready to share our signature dishes like our juicy brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs and classic sandwiches. Our goal is to make every meal memorable, and we’re thrilled to serve the people of Toronto.”

Dickey’s has announced a series of promotions and giveaways throughout the opening week.

The restaurant offers options for family meals, quick lunches and group gatherings.

Dickey’s Capital Group CEO Roland Dickey Jr stated: “Our goal has always been to bring the best barbecue to as many people as possible, and this new location is a key step in that direction. We’re proud to continue the Dickey’s legacy and share our Texas barbecue traditions with the Toronto community.”

Founded in 1941 by the Dickey family, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants now has 866 outlets across eight concepts in the US and several other countries under Dickey’s Barbecue Franchise and Dickey’s Restaurant Brands.

In January 2025, it introduced a new menu item, the Hot Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich, available for a limited period until March.
