US-based speciality cake company Nothing Bundt Cakes has announced the return of its Churro Dulce de Leche with a new variation, Churro de Chocolate.

The Churro Duo blends two cinnamon-spiced flavours — the caramel of classic Dulce de Leche, and a chocolate twist.

Churro Dulce de Leche was initially introduced in 2023.

Inspired by the classic Mexican dessert, it features a cinnamon-spiced Bundtlet topped with cinnamon sugar and filled with dulce de leche.

The new Churro de Chocolate Bundtlet swaps the dulce de leche filling for chocolate sauce.

Both flavours are available for a limited time, starting at $5.50.

Nothing Bundt Cakes culinary innovation vice-president Claire Jessen stated: “Our Churro Dulce de Leche has a special place in our guests’ hearts, and when it returns, it sells out fast.

“Dulce de Leche and chocolate are both classic churro dipping sauces, so our new Churro de Chocolate gives churro lovers even more authentic deliciousness to love.”

In November 2024, Nothing Bundt Cakes appointed franchise development veteran Joel Larkin as its chief development officer.

Focused on franchise growth, he will lead the brand’s expansion, aiming to reach 1,000 bakeries by 2027, up from its current 635 locations.

In June 2024, Nothing Bundt Cakes opened its 600th store in Tampa – Town ‘N’ Country, Florida. This expansion saw 41 new locations added by the middle of that year, following 84 openings in 2023.

Nothing Bundt Cakes has 660 franchised and corporate bakeries in more than 40 states and in Canada.
