REGO Restaurant Group, parent company of the Quiznos and Taco del Mar brands, has appointed Neel Patel as CEO.
Quiznos is a quick-service sandwich chain and Taco del Mar is a fast-casual restaurant chain specialising in coastal Mexican cuisine.
Patel takes over from Tim Casey, who left in December 2024 after a six-year tenure.
Patel served as the senior vice-president for strategy and growth at Church’s Texas Chicken, where he was instrumental in the brand’s transformation and transactional growth.
REGO Restaurant Group and High Bluff Capital Partners board member Coady Smith stated: “Both Quiznos and Taco del Mar are well-positioned for expansion and accelerated growth, and we are confident that Neel is the ideal leader to drive that momentum.
“His deep expertise in driving unit-level profitability, optimising operations and delivering data-driven business transformations will be instrumental as we continue to expand our brands and deliver exceptional value to our customers and franchisee partners.”
Patel previously contributed to growth transformations at McKinsey & Company, providing advice to businesses on enterprise strategy, commercial optimisation, data and analytics, and value creation.
Based in Denver, Colorado, REGO Restaurant Group is a fast-casual restaurant platform founded by private investment company High Bluff Capital Partners. The company manages 450 restaurants in 11 countries.
In December 2024, Quiznos expanded its footprint in the US state of Michigan with a new outlet in Swartz Creek.
This development marked the second franchise venture for Jennifer Spiers and Randy Saylor, who previously launched a store in Rochester Hills.
