US-based company DoorDash’s IT hiring declined 27.4% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 42.73% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 11.11% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 2.94% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops DoorDash IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by DoorDash, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.67% in September 2022, and an 83.33% drop over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 25% in September 2022, and registered growth of 200%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 8.33% in September 2022, a flat growth from August 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at DoorDash

North America emerged as the leading region in the global food service IT hiring activity in September 2022 with an 83.33% share, which marked an 81.48% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 16.67%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 58.33% share in September 2022, an 86.54% decline over August 2022. Australia featured next with a 16.67% share, up 100% over the previous month.

Entry Level jobs lead DoorDash IT hiring activity in September 2022

Entry Level jobs held a share of 50%, up by 20% from August 2022. Junior Level positions with a 33.33% share, a decline of 90.48% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.67% share, down 75% over August 2022.
