March 2022 has seen a decrease of 6.72% in the overall hiring activity when compared with February 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 0.26% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 57.5% in March 2022, a 36.9% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 15.5% in March 2022, marking a 6.06% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 13% in March 2022, a 25.71% drop from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 24.3% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during March 2022 over previous month.
HelloFresh posted 54 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered an increase of 54.29% over the previous month, followed by The University of Texas at Austin Division of Housing and Food Service with 26 jobs and an 8.33% growth. Chipotle Mexican Grill with 19 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth, while McDonald’s recorded a 50% increase with 15 job postings during March 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 93% share in March 2022, a 6.9% increase over February 2022. Canada featured next with a 6.5% share, up 30% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.5% share, a drop of 50% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.5%, up by 30.85% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.5% share, registered a decline of 12.24% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17% share, down 20.93% over February 2022.
