Australian coffee chain Zarraffa’s Coffee has announced plans to open 200 new outlets by 2032.

The move is part of the coffee chain’s strategy to grow its footprint ahead of the 2032 Summer Olympics in Brisbane.

The company, which launched its first drive-through store in 2009, currently operates 78 stores across Australia, as reported by World Coffee Portal

In April 2023, the brand opened a drive-through-only outlet in Beaudesert, Queensland, introducing a smaller, more cost-effective model for franchisees.

Zarraffa’s Coffee had previously set a goal of 130 outlets by 2026, focusing on the expansion of the drive-through-only concept, which has since been implemented in Queensland’s Harristown and Manunda suburbs.

In mid-February 2025, the coffee chain also opened a new drive-through site in North Underwood, Queensland, as reported by QSR Media Aus

Situated next to the OOM Energy Fuel Station on Logan Road, the drive-through store serves commuters, offering convenient access to both coffee and fuel services.

It is the first in the chain’s pipeline of new sites to open in 2025.

Commenting on the North Underwood outlet opening, Zarraffa’s Coffee CEO Marnie Sheldon stated: “Our focus over this next year remains about growth, not only in footprint by delivering Zarraffa’s to more locations across Australia, but also in enhancing our customer value proposition and experience.”

The Underwood North outlet has created 30 local jobs.

The store is operated by franchisees Robbie and Sonya Farr, who have experience in managing multiple locations.

The Farr family now runs three Zarraffa’s Coffee outlets.
