Coffee franchise Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is set to expand in the US state of Nevada with a new three-store agreement in Henderson.

Local entrepreneur Grant Vermillion, his wife and his son are behind the deal, with the first location expected to open in 2025.

The move is part of Bad Ass Coffee’s broader strategy to increase its footprint across the Las Vegas area, capitalising on the region’s strong tourism sector and the city’s cultural ties to Hawaii.

In February 2025, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii continued its expansion in Nevada, securing a three-unit deal in Las Vegas, with the first set to open in the second quarter of 2025.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii CEO Scott Snyder stated: “The growth we’re seeing in Nevada is incredibly exciting, and continuing to expand into the Las Vegas area is a key milestone for the brand.

“Las Vegas offers great potential for us, and we’re confident that Grant and his family will make a meaningful impact on the Henderson community as they continue to expand their partnership with us. Their passion for both the brand and their community truly embodies the kind of franchisee we love to work with.”

Founded on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1989, the brand was created to share American-grown, premium coffee.

It sources coffee from the Kona region, Kauai and Maui, and offers blended drinks, signature lattes, cold brews and teas, along with Hawaiian-inspired food.
