Bellona Hospitality, the hospitality division of the Phoenix Mall of Asia, is planning to expand its total number of outlets to more than 70 in India by 2026, as reported by IndiaRetailing.

Currently operating 39 outlets across five cities, the restaurant chain is looking to expand beyond its traditional shopping centre locations into high street areas.

Bellona Hospitality Services director Prashant Issar was quoted by the publication as saying: “Since the inception, we have been actively developing and launching restaurants across all Phoenix Malls. Our goal is to nearly double our topline revenue next year.”

Bellona Hospitality’s expansion strategy includes opening new restaurants in strategic locations such as the Phoenix Mall of Asia.

The recent launches include a variety of dining concepts such as Ishaara, Dobaraa, Cha, Caffe Allora and Eight.

Issar added: “Three brands that we are planning to take out to the high street are Ishaara, Eight and Dobaraa. Bengaluru and Mumbai are top priorities for our expansion plans.”

The company’s growth is supported by partnerships with online platforms, including Zomato and Swiggy, as well as eazydiner.com for table reservations.

The first restaurant under the Bellona brand, Ishaara, was opened in November 2021. Since then, the company has expanded its footprint across Mumbai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.

“Some of our brands will be scaling at a faster pace across tier 2 and 3 cities. The roadmap for this expansion is currently a work in progress,” Issar added.

In early 2024 The Economic Times reported that Bellona Hospitality unveiled Eight, a new Pan-Asian bar and restaurant in the city of Bengaluru.
