
LeFrak Commercial and Newport Associates Development Company, in collaboration with the proprietors of Teppan Territory, has opened the Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen in Newport, New Jersey, US.
The seafood-focused restaurant is situated on the ground level of The Beach residential building in a 2,200ft² space. It offers a full-service dining experience complete with a bar and patio seating. The waterfront residential tower is adjacent to Newport Green.
LeFrak commercial leasing director Ray Kawas said: “Over the past few years, Newport has solidified itself as a go-to food scene for local residents, office workers and even New Yorkers.
“We’re excited to welcome Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen to the neighbourhood and share this new waterfront dining experience with the Newport community.”
The Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen’s menu features locally sourced seafood dishes, including lobster rolls and a selection of raw bar items, as well as seasonal specialities.
Guests can also choose from a handpicked assortment of wines and artisanal cocktails. A brunch menu is available at weekends.
The establishment is a collaborative venture among restaurateurs Chris Kong, Admen Kong, Alan Lau, Johnny Leung and Kelvin Yiu, who are also partners at Teppan Territory, a Japanese teppanyaki-style restaurant in Downtown Brooklyn.
Johnny Leung brings additional expertise to the table as a partner in the Komegashi Too sushi restaurant in Newport.
