Dallas-based multi-brand franchising company BRIX Holdings has announced new deals that will introduce Red Mango and Smoothie Factory + Kitchen locations to the US states of Arizona and Missouri.

The expansion includes a multi-unit development agreement with franchise owner Richard Stassi for three co-branded stores and another deal with Gary Patel for a Red Mango outlet in Kansas City, Missouri.

Richard Stassi has signed a deal with BRIX Holdings to open three co-branded Smoothie Factory + Kitchen and Red Mango stores in Arizona by 2027.

The first is expected to open in early 2025.

The move signifies a significant step in the company’s strategy to grow its presence across the nation.

Gary Patel, pioneer franchisee for Red Mango in Missouri, is set to open his store in Kansas City in early 2025.

BRIX Holdings CEO Sherif Mityas expressed optimism about the expansion, stating: “Expanding into new markets with our Smoothie Factory + Kitchen and Red Mango brands is the promising momentum we expect to see as we continue our growth and development plans for our brands across the nation.”

Sherif Mityas further commented on the potential impact of the new franchisees: “We look forward to the catalyst the new franchisees will have for their markets and the experiences they will bring to their communities. The journey in Arizona and Missouri is just the beginning of tapping into new entrepreneurial talent and expanding our mission.”

The new franchise agreements provide BRIX Holdings with opportunities to enter new markets and continue its expansion.

Richard Stassi, a retired New York police officer, plans to manage the Arizona locations with his sons, while Gary Patel is embarking on his first business venture.

Stassi said: “It was important to us that we invested in a reputable company that operates efficiently and has high-quality products that people love, and we found that with our co-branded Smoothie Factory + Kitchen and Red Mango locations.”

BRIX Holdings, which includes brands such as Friendly’s, Red Mango, Orange Leaf, Smoothie Factory + Kitchen and Clean Juice, is actively seeking more franchise owners.

The company has set the initial franchise fee at $30,000 for a traditional ten-year term, with additional financial requirements for franchisees.
