Quick-service hamburger chain Burger King is set to introduce a new addition to its menu, the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper.

The limited-time offering, available at participating locations from 6 March 2025, has been crafted in response to customer feedback and submissions from the Million Dollar Whopper Contest.

The Steakhouse Bacon Whopper features A.1. sauce, crispy onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, peppercorn aioli, lettuce and tomato.

Burger King brand marketing and culinary vice-president Christy Skylis stated: “We are constantly listening to our guests to learn how they want to customise America’s favourite burger, which is why we’re so excited about the new Steakhouse Bacon Whopper.

“This creation is the result of our passionate guests and Whopper lovers, and we look forward to bringing even more guest-created and inspired creations to our menu later this year and in the future – so keep the great ideas coming!”

Burger King is also expanding its side options.

Customers ordering a combo meal can now choose from Chicken Fries, Mozzarella Fries or Churro Fries at no extra cost, in addition to classic options such as French Fries, Onion Rings and Have-sies [a combo of fries and onion rings in one portion].

Skylis added: “We’re taking ‘Have It Your Way’ up a notch with our combo combinations promotion where we’re excited for guests to not only get their sandwich and drink their way but also their side.”

Founded in 1954, Burger King operates more than 19,000 restaurants in 120 countries and US territories.

In October 2024, the brand announced its holiday-themed advent calendar, a limited-edition offering for its customers.  

The calendar, which featured a holiday village design inspired by the season’s BK app experience, contained 12 gifts, each representing a slice of the brand’s 70-year history.
