Caffè Concerto, a European-style restaurant chain with its headquarters in London, is expanding its footprint with a new establishment in Leeds.
Set to open on 22 November, Caffè Concerto Leeds will take over the previous Tommy Hilfiger space at Victoria Gate shopping centre, marking a significant addition to the city’s dining scene.
Founded in 1996, Caffè Concerto is known for its Italian-inspired cuisine, rich cake displays, and live music events.
The Leeds location is set to continue this tradition, enhancing the dining experience with the chain’s hallmark luxurious decor.
Patrons can expect an ambience of elegance, highlighted by chandeliers, velvet upholstery, and brass accents.
The restaurant will accommodate 138 guests and feature outdoor seating on Harewood Street, offering an al fresco dining option.

By GlobalDataCaffè Concerto director Maher Al Hajjar said: “We’re incredibly excited to be opening our first restaurant in Yorkshire, in Leeds. At Caffè Concerto we promise an irresistible allure with a carefully selected menu, delicious cakes and an exquisite wine selection, which we think the people of Leeds will love.
“The decision to open in Leeds, particularly in Victoria Gate, was influenced by the area’s vibrant atmosphere and the opportunity to bring Caffè Concerto’s unique and elegant dining experience to a completely new audience.”
This development comes after a challenging period for Caffè Concerto, which included legal actions in 2021 aimed at reducing pandemic-related rent arrears and a brief listing for sale in late 2022.
Despite these hurdles, the UK branch of Caffè Concerto has reported a profit of £9.4m in 2022, signalling a better recovery.
The brand’s international presence is also growing, with locations near Paris’ Louvre and across malls in Doha, Jeddah, and Riyadh.
