US-based fast-casual sandwich chain Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has made its debut in New Jersey, US with a new location in Princeton.  

This brand brings its 40-year-old tradition of in-house slow-roasted turkeys and fresh, hand-crafted sandwiches to the local community.  

The shop is located at 301 N Harrison Street Unit 470 in the Princeton Shopping Center and will open on 21 January 2025. 

The new Capriotti’s shop is owned by franchisee Jimit Dharia and his wife Urvi Jatania.  

The couple, originally from India, have been residents of the Central Jersey area for 14 years and have entrepreneurial experience running restaurants and a construction business.  

Dharia said: “We are thrilled to bring Capriotti’s to New Jersey and share our passion for premium, handcrafted sandwiches.

The Princeton location will offer Capriotti’s famous sandwiches such as the Bobbie, crafted with oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo, and the Capastrami, featuring hot pastrami with Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and homemade coleslaw, along with cheesesteaks made with premium steak or chicken.  

For those seeking plant-based options, Impossible meat options are also available. 

The new shop also creates local jobs.

Capriotti’s is dedicated to community engagement and plans to open ten additional locations across New Jersey.  

The brand encourages fans to use the CAPAddicts Rewards app for iOS and Android to earn rewards and access free food at their shops. 

Capriotti’s is committed to convenience with order-ahead options, online ordering and third-party delivery services.  

They also cater for events ranging from corporate gatherings to birthday parties with offerings such as cold sub party trays, box lunches and a hot homemade meatball bar. 

Another Capriotti’s, owned by entrepreneur Will Kamal, opened in Riverside, California at 9867 Magnolia Ave on 4 December 2024.
