US seafood restaurant chain Captain D’s has entered a new partnership with Foods Connected, a specialist in supply chain solutions.
The collaboration will help upgrade the supply chain management of the seafood brand, which currently operates 535 restaurants across 23 states.
The integration of Foods Connected software solutions will provide Captain D’s with comprehensive visibility into their suppliers’ compliance progress towards the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) 204.
FSMA 204 is a regulation with rules on traceability record-keeping for those who manage foods listed on the Food Traceability List (FTL).
This will include the generation of centralised supplier approval data and the establishment of automated accreditation processes.
The software will facilitate real-time incident and risk management, crucial for maintaining the integrity of the supply chain.
