Mediterranean fast-casual dining brand CAVA has launched its first restaurant in the south of the US state of Florida, as part of its ongoing expansion plan.
Located in the Shoppes at Highland at 3645 West 84th Street, Unit 5, Hialeah, the new 2,200ft² CAVA restaurant features a 40-seat dining room and offers digital order pick-up and delivery services.
The Hialeah location represents the beginning of CAVA’s expansion in South Florida, with plans to open more restaurants in the area later in 2025.
The brand plans 1,000 restaurants by 2032.
CAVA’s menu features bowls, pitas and dips featuring Mediterranean flavours.
CAVA co-founder and CEO Brett Schulman stated: “South Florida is known for its vibrant food scene and year-round warmth, and CAVA’s concept of serving bold, satisfying flavours with Mediterranean hospitality is a perfect match.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Hialeah community to our table and look forward to continuing to deliver our mission of bringing heart, health and humanity to food in South Florida as we grow our presence in this market throughout the year.”
The company’s growth has been steady, with 58 net new restaurants opened in the fiscal year 2024 and a projected growth rate of at least 17% for 2025.
CAVA donated fresh meals to local residents during the restaurant’s training period.
The Hialeah restaurant will employ between 25 and 40 people.
In March 2025, CAVA opened its inaugural Indiana restaurant, the 3,000ft² Fishers location in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, increasing its national footprint to 26 states and the District of Columbia.
This location also features a 40-seat dining room and caters to digital orders and deliveries.
