Indian coffee and dining chain Chelvies Coffee has secured a $1m investment from early-stage investment company Endurance Capital.

The financial boost is aimed at supporting the company’s expansion plan to open more than 30 high-street outlets in key Indian metro cities by 2026.

Chelvies Coffee has an additional $500,000 in debt financing pending, which will further aid in achieving these goals, as reported by IndianRetailer.com

The company was established in 2023 and operates six locations in Ahmedabad and Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).

With monthly revenues reaching Rs13m ($150,448), Chelvies Coffee has demonstrated profitability at the shop level.

The brand was founded by Dhruv Singh, a fourth-generation restaurateur from the family behind the Kake Di Hatti chain.

Singh said: “We are redefining coffee shops from being merely casual spaces to becoming experience-driven destinations where customers feel at home while enjoying exceptional coffee and food. Since our launch, we have rigorously tested and perfected our concept through our presence in Delhi NCR and Ahmedabad, refining every aspect of the customer experience.”

“This funding comes right at a time when we are all set to scale aggressively and bring our unique offering to key markets across India.”

Chelvies Coffee aims to transform India’s coffee culture with its European-inspired concept that blends speciality coffee with upscale dining experiences.

Dhruv Singh brings industry knowledge to the venture, having previously expanded Kake Di Hatti alongside his father, Gurdeep Singh, to more than100 locations nationwide.

Chelvies sources its coffee from estates in Baba Budangiri, Chikmagaluru, in the Indian state of Karnataka, as reported by World Coffee Portal.

The investment from Endurance Capital will enable the brand to scale up its operations and establish a farm-to-cup coffee brand.

Endurance Capital founding partner Abhishek Mittal stated: “Dhruv’s customer obsession is what creates genuine customer love, which is rare to find in the Indian food and beverage landscape. India has long deserved a brand that delivers both exceptional coffee and outstanding food under one roof.”

“What truly sets Chelvies Coffee apart is not just their unique offering, but their impressive sales-to-investment ratio and healthy margins, demonstrating both customer validation and potential for superior returns as they scale.”
