US-based fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has partnered with DoorDash to offer delivery services from more than 1,100 of its restaurants across the US.

Chick-fil-A senior vice-president and chief marketing officer Jon Bridges said: “So many of our guests’ busy lives and family commitments have them strapped for time. Delivery is one way we can help them get a quick yet high quality meal. If they’re unable to come to us, we’ll come to them.”

Chick-fil-A and DoorDash started testing the delivery service in select markets in 2017 by making investments in custom-built technology integrations for order accuracy and smooth delivery.

As part of the partnership, the fast food chain will also integrate DoorDash into its point of sale system, enabling the delivery platform to scale additional restaurants.

“Chick-fil-A’s standout business momentum is a testament to how they listen to what their customers want.”

To mark the launch, the company has also introduced a giveaway campaign by offering 200,000 free chicken sandwiches to customers through 20 November. This offer is available through the DoorDash app and website.

In addition, participating restaurants will offer all menu items to customers through DoorDash.

DoorDash chief operating officer Christopher Payne said: “Chick-fil-A’s standout business momentum is a testament to how they listen to what their customers want.

“Customers expect convenience without sacrificing quality, and DoorDash is thrilled to provide that level of service to Chick-fil-A’s loyal fan base through door-to-door delivery.

“We’re proud to be a part of their journey and provide new ways for customers to enjoy their favourite Chick-fil-A menu items from anywhere.”
