American fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A is set to open its first free-standing restaurant in Oʻahu, Hawaii, US.

Set to open on 8 December 2023 in Kapolei Parkway, the new restaurant will be owned and operated by Oʻahu native Spencer Goo.

Goo said: “My journey with Chick-fil-A has truly been a family affair. I wouldn’t be here today without the support of my wife and children. I even had the honour of serving alongside two of my children as Chick-fil-A team members, which was such a rewarding experience.

“Together with my family, we look forward to being your neighbour – as members of the community and as the team behind Chick-fil-A Kapolei Parkway!

“This is a homecoming for me, so I look forward to re-connecting with loved ones, friends and old classmates over a classic Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich at the new restaurant, so come on in to see us!”

Chick-fil-A Kapolei Parkway will offer dine-in, dual-lane drive-thru and take-out for its guests. Guests can also place their orders via the Chick-fil-A app or online.

Covering an area of more than 5,000ft², the new restaurant can accommodate 101 guests inside and will feature subtle design touches, native landscaping and local design motifs to honour local culture.

Chick-fil-A Kapolei Parkway will be offering its guests breakfast options such as chick-n-minis entrées, Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits and hash brown scramble bowl.

The new venue will create 80 new employment opportunities in the region.

It will be the fourth Chick-fil-A restaurant in the state of Hawaiʻi.

The company also plans to launch third-party delivery services from its new free-standing restaurant.

In July 2023, Chick-fil-A announced its first drive-through-focused restaurant in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
