US fast-food chain Chick-fil-A has announced plans to establish five to seven new restaurants in the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC) by 2030.
The first BC restaurant will open between late 2027 and early 2028.
The brand also intends to open eight restaurants across Ontario and Alberta in 2025 – the highest number of openings in Canada since the brand’s entry in 2019.
Over the past five years, Chick-fil-A has inaugurated 22 restaurants across the country.
Local entrepreneurs taking up roles as Chick-fil-A owner-operators will employ between 80 and 120 individuals at each location.
Chick-fil-A Canada restaurant development director Jessica Sisk Roehle said: “We are excited about the opportunity to bring an authentic Chick-fil-A experience to guests in British Columbia, where [we] will create hundreds of new jobs and invest in teams and local communities.

By GlobalData“The incredible reception Chick-fil-A received when we expanded into Alberta this past year really energised us as we planned our next steps in Canada. British Columbia has a number of vibrant, thriving communities across the province that makes it such a great place for us to grow.”
The company plans to open 20 outlets in the province by 2030.
The expansion of its Canadian footprint follows the launch of three outlets in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta in February 2024.
The Chick-fil-A locations in Calgary and Edmonton marked the chain’s first venture outside Ontario since the inaugural Canadian restaurant opened at Yonge & Bloor in Toronto in 2019.
