Fast-casual restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is set to enhance its presence in the US state of Texas by opening a new location in New Braunfels, a city near San Antonio.

The opening is scheduled for 17 January 2024 with a special promotion in which the first one hundred guests will be rewarded with free chicken salad for a year.

The new restaurant, located at 1050 FM 306, will be Chicken Salad Chick’s third venture in the San Antonio area.

It will feature a drive-thru and a spacious patio for outdoor dining.

The outlet will be co-owned by the partnership of James Oberg, Jeff Rochelle and George Shaw.

Jeff Rochelle said: “These communities are growing by leaps and bounds with many young families and local retirees.

“We love sharing Chicken Salad Chick’s made-from-scratch chicken salad and joy-filled culture with all of our guests and giving back to this area that has given us so much.”

The New Braunfels site follows the successful launch of Chicken Salad Chick outlets in the Stone Oak and Westover Hills districts by the same partnership.

Oberg, Rochelle, and Shaw intend to open five further sites in San Antonio.

Chicken Salad Chick San Antonio co-owner James Oberg said: “My family moved to this area for its small-town feel, rich history and beautiful scenery.

“My children have grown up here, and we’ve had the opportunity to become involved with many school, sport and church activities.

“It’s a wonderfully close-knit community. We are thrilled to bring them delicious lunch, dinner and catering options we know they can use and enjoy.”

In December 2023, Chicken Salad Chick expanded its network in Alabama by opening a new outlet in Birmingham.
